Future You

Have you sat down and really thought about where you want to be a year from now; 5 years from now; 20 years from now?

If not, why not? This is a brilliant exercise that can help you figure out what you need to be practicing now in order to get there.

Let’s say for example that you want to be working in a job that makes you feel appreciated, valued and engaged one year from now.

Now you might be thinking I better start looking for a new job right now. It’s really easy to think that we need to change our circumstances.

What if I told you that you need to start practicing feeling appreciated, valued and engaged right now? What????

It’s true. You need to figure out what thoughts will create feelings of appreciated, valued and engaged and start practicing those thoughts to replace the shitty old thoughts you have now about your job.

It’s going to take practice to rewire your neural pathways. Remember, your brain only cares what is repeated. It can care less if it’s true. That’s how we ended us with so many self-limiting, untrue beliefs.

Choose what you want to be true and then practice it by ruthlessly repeating it every chance you get.
